Mountain Star Making HeadlinesBy Ray Powell
"I have been getting a lot of schools talking to me about some offers but they want to see film first." Jennert said. "I go to the visit Kansas University the weekend of July 4 and from there I'm going to Florida for vacation and I plan on visiting FIU and Central Florida." "I have also had talks with Akron and CSU. CSU offered me before my junior year but pulled the offer when the new coaching staff came in," Jennert said Jennert has already made a name for himself in the recruiting world, after a recent trip to Kansas City to attend the Scout Combine, where he came away with combine MVP honors out of 130 of the midlands elite prospects. Jennert was timed at 4.49 in the 40 and showed off his skills and showed that he was the best receiver in attendance according to Andrew Bone from Scout.com. "He dominated throughout the combine and should start to collect some offers." Bone said. "He consistently broke down the coverage and got behind the defensive backs. His long arms make him interesting since he showed nice body control in pulling in some difficult catches." Even though Jennert plays for a 3A team which may not get the consideration that the bigger school’s kids get, the scouts are sure to make the ride up the mountain to see both Jennert and last years QB Dakota Stonehouse, who threw for over 2,300 yards and more than 30 touchdowns. With Florida being the dream school for this tremendous athlete it does not stop for him there. He posted a 3.0 GPA and a 23 on the ACT test score. CFI will continue to follow the progress of this athletic speedster as the college offers start to pile up and he continues to perform as well this fall as he has done this summer. |
